Northern Rivers crusher John Peacock is here to host and introduce our hilarious support acts for the evening. Dusty is his own special kind of genius - you've never seen anyone like him. He has his own special on Comedy Central, operates a cyber-neon future circus, he’s toured all over the world and, in the few years he has been here, become a favourite of the Australian comedy circuit. Sydney Comedy Festival, Brisbane Comedy Festival, New Zealand Comedy Festival and shows all around the country, he’s a sell-out act everywhere he goes. Wild, improvisational and unpredictable, Dusty leaves every audience doubled over with laughter.

In 2012, John Peacock was carpet cleaner of the year. Now he’s a middle aged man with a bee in his bonnet and several mental health issues. A deep thinker with social anxiety and middle age spread. He might also be gluten intolerant. In 2015 aged 44, John Peacock worked out what he wanted to do when he grew up. Unfortunately he is yet to grow up and remains largely unfulfilled. Cleaning carpets provides John with a lot of time alone with his wand to consider the World. It’s not perfect (the World that is) but he has a plan. It’s not much of a plan in fairness and essentially involves telling dick jokes to strangers in a hope that that will change the World without the associated effort which would invariably be involved in actually trying to change the World. John Peacock is one of the bright, young, things (yeah righto shut up) of Northern Rivers Comedy. He recently supported AustenTayshus in what some are calling a seminal turning point in Austen’s career. He’s opened for some actually funny people as well and watched a lot of very humerous people on You Tube. John is a stand up comedian with an impressive performance history at comedy festivals around the country. He has performed Internationally in Singapore, Sweden and at The Edinburgh Fringe Festival. He is an experienced MC, award winning public speaker, monthly columnist and enduring anchor of The Brekky Banter on the iconic Byron Bay FM. Founder of The Comedy Commune and promoter of sell out gigs locally and interstate. John is a modern day Man for All Seasons. Except for Summer which he finds a bit too hot and sweaty.
