Darren Carr and Ting Lim

Grab some friends and grab a table because we've got the best live comedy in town this Wed October 16th with Aus entertainment superstar Darren Carr coming all the way down to headline a talent-packed showcase just for us. Darren is absolutely hilarious and must be seen to be believed. Joining him to host the show is television and stage comedy sensation Ting Lim to warm us up and introduce our talented support acts for the evening. We can not wait to kick this one off.

Darren is a ventriloquist… yep… one of those. Basically it means he plays with dolls and talks to himself and he has been doing it as a living for over 20 years. He has appeared on the telly numerous times (Comedy Channel, Today, Footy Show, AGT), on way too many cruise ships, at hundreds of clubs and pubs, and nearly a thousand corporate functions… He has even headlined at the ventriloquist convention in the USA, six times. He has been in two movies, three commercials, four magazines, five boxing rings and is a six time winner of the Aust “MO” awards “Performer of the Year” trophy. He is a Capricorn, a safe driver, fully vaccinated and likes Indian food.

Singaporean-born Ting Lim is a stand up comedian, writer and actor of Chinese heritage based in Australia. Her dry sarcastic observations have endeared her to audiences since she represented QLD in the prestigious Melbourne International RAW comedy competition. Since then, she has toured sold-out comedy shows across Australia and opened for Marty Sheargold, Demetri Martin and Beth Stelling. She has been featured on the award winning show, Fisk and written for television.

Stand-up comedy runs from 7:00pm to 9:00pm on Wednesday the 16 October 2024 with a short break. Comedy will be running every Wednesday from 7pm at Currumbin Valley Brewing. Various ticketing options are available to purchase for this event as detailed below.
